Cyma: As Good as Greek Gets

Nothing beats the comfort that good food brings - this is why I wanted to start the year with one of our go-to restaurants whenever Boyfriend and I are out on a date, Cyma.

'Cyma Original' Saganaki (200) Cyma is known for their flaming dishes, such as this lovely saganaki. The presentation was wonderful. It is set on fire right in front of you, while the waiter scream "OPA!" in unison. The Cyma Original has 2 kinds of cheeses, mozarella and parmesan, with extra virgin olive oil. The EVOO has a slight bitter taste, but it works well with the cheese combination.

Chicken Gyro (160) For a healthy meat option, you can order the chicken gyro. I asked for the onions to be served on the side so I can enjoy the dish without picking the insides like a child. A gyro is very similar to a shawarma. For this reason alone, my expectations weren't that high, but the tzatziki takes this dish to a whole new level.

Cyma Lamb Chops (Shoulder loin - 460/Loin rock - 690) We usually order the Paidakia for our lamb fix, this time however, we went for the meatier chops. We asked for it to be cooked medium, unfortunately, it came to us medium well. The lamb was still very tender, but the fatty parts were a little chewy. Don't forget to ask for mint jelly because lamb just isn't complete without it. It also comes with the most flavorful rice stuffed peppers.

Cyma also has a wide range of vegatarian dishes to choose from. If you're not as carnivorous as us, it's still a good place to dine. Cyma's 1st branch is located at D'Mall in Boracay. It also has branches in Alabang Town Center, Eastwood Mall, Greenbelt 2, Shangri-la, Trinoma and Robinsons Place.
