Toast Box: Overloading on Chicken and Milo

Since the year started, Boyfriend and I decided on going for a healthier lifestyle. The gym is now part of our usual routine, and we have lessened our excessive dinner dates considerably. Because of this, I try to make the most out of those days when I actually get to eat "normal" food (I say "I" because Boyfriend still eats a lot when we're not together). Shi Lin: The Secret is in the Sesame

For the past few weeks, people have been flocking to Ayala Triangle. Boyfriend and I wanted to eat at Wee Nam Kee but we were 37 on the wait list. Fortunately, Shi Lin recently opened a branch in The Fort, away from all the hustle and bustle of Makati. It was a blessing in disguise, because we ended up with some amazing Xiao Long Bao.
From Chinatown to Little Tokyo: Japan (Hana Restaurant)

After roaming and eating our way through Binondo, we decided to go the insane route and went on another food trip. This time, in the hidden gem of Pasong Tamo, Little Tokyo. The traffic was terrible since we went there during rush hour, and it has started raining as well. But I knew we were in for a treat when I saw there were a lot of Japanese businessmen having dinner in the area. It was a guarantee that the we were about to eat authentic Japanese food.

Felix: From Asia to the World
Thursday, November 24, 2011 § 0
A few weeks ago, my girl friends and I indulged in a luxurious dinner at Felix. In was just your ordinary fine dining restaurant, packed with expats, businessmen, yuppies and dressed up ladies, such as ourselves. The menu didn't excite me too much since most of the food on the menu can be found in a lot of other restaurants in the city, except for maybe 2 or 3. Don't get me wrong though, all the dishes we ate were good, without a doubt. A little boring, but good.Food de Sentosa: The Flavors of Singapore

There aren't a lot of Singaporean restaurants in Manila. So when I heard from a friend that there is a great Singaporean hole-in-the-wall near Boyfriend's house, I insisted that we try it. Apparently, Food de Sentosa is a stone's throw away from my dear Boyfriend's house, yet his Pancake-House-loving-self has never even set foot on the place.About Me
- Tables for Couples
- My boyfriend and I have been in a constant search for great new places perfect for dates. In our 6 years together, we've already tried a variety of venues suitable for couples of all ages - from your regular McDonalds, insane yakiniku places, quaint and cozy little restaurants, fine dining, hotel buffets, weekend markets to resorts that go beyond Manila. But we want more. I believe that Manila, and the Philippines as a whole, has a lot of secrets waiting to be discovered. So from here on out, I will share with you our adventures with food, and maybe even life. Itadakimasu.
